Mary McKenzie is Head of Odgers Berndtson’s Canadian Mining & Metals Practice.
Based in Toronto, she specializes in recruiting technical talent and senior corporate roles for junior, mid-tier, and major mining companies worldwide.
She brings over two decades of executive search, research, and project management expertise in the Mining & Metals, Oil & Gas, and Energy sectors. Prior to joining Odgers Berndtson in 2017, she worked for boutique search firms and established the Toronto branch of a U.S.-based firm specializing in the mining sector.
Mary holds a bachelor’s degree (with Honours) in Physical Geography and Economics from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Urban Planning from Ryerson University. She actively participates in various industry associations and is Chair of Women in Mining Toronto Chapter, a national industry-focused education and advocacy nonprofit. She is also a member of the Board (Education Committee) of the Toronto Branch of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM). Mary is a nominee for the Women’s Executive Network 2024 Top 100 Powerful Women in Canada.
