Philippe Burton is Managing Partner of Odgers Berndtson’s Montréal office.
A seasoned HR executive with nearly a decade of global executive search experience, he is known for his collaborative style and ability to forge strong relationships with clients and internal teams. His functional executive recruiting breadth includes board director, c-suite and VP-level searches across the industry spectrum, serving some of Québec’s largest organisations. With a unique approach that prioritises uncovering critical information about an organisation’s culture and business objectives, Philippe’s extensive human resources and talent management expertise enable him to successfully identify leaders who can immediately add value and drive tangible benefits. As Managing Partner, Philippe also supports the continued expansion of the firm’s local business, building on Odgers Berndtson’s reputation as Canada’s premier integrated leadership advisory firm.
Before joining Odgers Berndtson, Philippe was a Partner with a Montréal-based executive search firm, serving the senior leadership needs of regional and global clients. Before that, he held executive-level HR positions at Aimia, Enerkem, and Aveos, where he aligned HR strategies with organisational business goals and led talent management, employee engagement, and leadership development initiatives.
Philippe holds a Bachelor and a Master of Industrial Relations from the Université de Montréal and a Master Certificate in Operations Management from the Schulich School of Business at York University. He currently serves as Chair of the Board of Formetal.
