Trevor Smith is a Partner within Odgers Berndtson’s Industrial Practice and heads the firm’s Canadian Energy & CleanTech Practice.
Based in Toronto, Trevor has over a decade of expertise facilitating leadership and Board appointments across Canada, particularly in the industrial and energy sectors. He specializes in helping climate-conscious businesses identify and recruit top-tier talent for leadership and governance roles. Additionally, Trevor serves as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the leadership challenges and opportunities of the Energy Transition.
Prior to joining Odgers Berndtson, Trevor held a leadership role at a boutique search firm where he worked with some of the country’s most highly regarded companies in energy, consumer packaged goods, telecommunications, and manufacturing. He is a dedicated advocate for corporate governance, ESG principles, and sustainability and strongly supports giving back to the community. Integrity, transparency, and collaboration are central to his work.
Trevor holds a BA in Political Science and History from Wilfrid Laurier University and has a postgraduate certificate in Human Resources Management from Sheridan College. Beyond his professional commitments, he volunteers on the Board of Dufferin Child & Family Services.
