CEOx1Day Czech Republic FAQs

1. Who can participate?

The program is open to students taking a third, fourth, and fifth degree at a university or college.

2. Important time requirements

Shortlisted students will be invited to attend a Career Development Day with Odgers experts in Prague on 28 January 2025.

3. Who will applicants be matched with? 

In the CEOx1Day program, students have the chance to match with one of the 6 CEOs in the Czech Republic who are not only leading significant companies but are also eager to dedicate time to future leaders and support their development. These CEOs are open to hearing fresh perspectives, understanding what drives younger generations, and gaining insight into the innovative thinking that students bring.

Both applicants and CEOs tell us what they hope to get out of the programme. Odgers consultants will match concrete CEOs and students. Both parties learn fromdiscovering different perspectives.

4. When will the Day take place? 

This will depend on the availability of each CEO in the course of March 2025. 

5. What will happen on the Day? 

The day spent with the Chief Executive is tailored by the CEO according to the nature of that business and the applicant's interests. All CEOs involved lead very different types of organizations and can, therefore, expose each student to different experiences. On the day, students should learn about the CEO's role in the organization, learn about how the organization works, witness a typical day, and have a chance to ask the Chief Executive their questions.

6. Will I be informed if I am not chosen to move forward in the selection process?

7. The Career Development Day and/or CEO Mentorship Day conflicts with my course schedule. Can the date be switched?

These dates have been booked months in advance, therefore, they cannot be changed. An official letter will be provided that outlines involvement in the program, to share with professors. If you are selected but unable to attend either event, we will provide the spot to another student. 

8. Do the benefits of the CEOx1Day program include being considered for an internship?

Finalists are often considered for internships by Odgers and participating organizations.

9. I would like to promote this program to my student community. How can I do this?

Resharing our social media posts is a great way to share information about the CEOx1Day program. We also have a marketing toolkit for promotion use, which can be accessed here or shared with your friends.

This information is captured separately from the application. The answers provided are not seen by the people who consider the application, nor do they have any influence on a candidate’s application. 11. Expenses connected to the program

There is no application fee. You will be provided with food and drinks during the Career Development Day. You will be responsible for your own travel costs to attend the assessment day with Odgers in Prague, Czech Republic.
