How to retain executive-track mothers during and after COVID-19: a road map for employers
Catherine Bass Black is a Partner in Odgers Berndtson’s Industrial, Consumer, Board, and Leadership Practices.
She leads the US Automotive Practice group. Catherine has combined expertise in global team leadership recruitment, talent mapping and intelligence, recruitment and retention strategy, succession planning, and organizational change management.
Prior to joining Odgers, Catherine was Head of Talent Acquisition and Director of Community Affairs at Bass Pro Shops Group, leading national recruitment and corporate affairs for their diversified businesses including retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, and hospitality. Previously, she was a Senior Associate at Korn Ferry as a member of the Industrial and Technology practices.
An avid community participant, she was the recipient of Springfield Business Journal 40 under 40 Award in 2018 and Atlanta’s Power 30 Under 30 Award in 2009. She has served on numerous non-profit boards and in 2021 was honored as Distinguished Young Alumnus by Sewanee. As co-chair of Odgers Berndtson’s US Diversity Council, she is passionate about connecting women leaders with purposeful careers.
Catherine earned an MBA from Emory University Goizueta Business School, and a BA from Sewanee, The University of the South, where she graduated cum laude.
