Vijay Deol

Vijay is a Partner in Odgers Berndtson's Tokyo office.

He has a wealth of experience leading recruitment teams and search projects supporting the Japan operations of global companies since 2004. His network and success in connecting senior level executives for key roles extends across a wide range of positions and industries. Vijay focuses primarily on industrial sectors where multinational clients seek to find talented leadership for their Japan operations.

Originally from Canada, Vijay first came to Japan in 2002 and has worked in leadership roles for both Japanese and non-Japanese firms. Notably, he was the founding member of the Japan operations for one of the largest FTSE listed recruitment firms before taking the position as President and Representative Director at a leading Japanese company focused on global talent. 

Vijay graduated with a BSc from the University of Alberta and has an MBA focusing on finance and international management from McGill University. Vijay is a native speaker of English and is also fluent in Japanese.
