What Does Ethics in Leadership Mean to You? An Interview with Colin Sims, CEO

7 min read

Chris Hamilton, Partner and Global Head of the Life Sciences Practice at Odgers Berndtson, joins Colin Sims, CEO of Adthera, to discuss key attributes necessary of ethical leaders.

Colin believes ethical leadership is centred around authenticity and doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.

Exploring ethics within the sector more broadly, Colin explains that laws and regulations do not necessarily align with technology and science, expressing the need for the government - as well as health and regulatory bodies - to address this.

It’s about fairness; you want others to treat you how you want to be treated yourself. The world is not that small, and I think if we are all sitting there waiting for people who don’t want to behave that way to turn, it might not happen, so you select them out and you do business with different people to make an equal system of partners who want to do the right thing.
