Alex Thomson

Alex Thomson is a Partner and Head of the US Financial Services Practice.

He has over 20 years of experience conducting searches for clients in asset management, endowments and foundations (E&Fs), plan sponsors, real estate and wealth management. He has been with Odgers Berndtson since 2011, following a 12-year tenure at a global executive search firm, where he most recently served as a Partner. 

Earlier, in his career, Alex served as Global Co-Practice Head of the WAM Group's Wealth and Asset Management Practice at another global executive search firm. Before undertaking a career in executive search, Alex worked in the Real Estate Investment Banking Division at a Bank of America predecessor. 

Alex began his career in financial services marketing after graduating from Wesleyan University, where he is an Alumni Volunteer. Alex also sits on the Board of Trustees of South Kent School and the US Board of Odgers Berndtson.
