Jacob Præst

Jacob focuses on executive search within renewable energy and professional services, and is a part of the global Renewable & Cleantech Practice.

He also focuses on private equity funds and professional services, including management consulting, audit and assurance, corporate finance and transaction services.

Prior to his career at Odgers Berndtson, Jacob was a partner in another large international executive search firm and before that, he was a management consultant at Monitor Deloitte and Accenture Consulting. In addition, he has more than 15 years of experience from the Danish and European energy sector and as such, he has had leading roles in Ørsted in Denmark, Belgium as well as the Netherlands, and in his last position, he was the Head of Strategy and Business Development in Ørsted’s Dutch energy company.

As a very experienced and passionate strategy consultant, Jacob takes great pleasure in helping companies succeed in disruptive markets. He believes successful strategy implementation is much dependent on having the right capabilities in the organisation and being able to attract and retain talented leaders.

Jacob holds a master’s degree in international business administration from Copenhagen Business School and Oxford Brookes University.

Jacob joined Odgers Berndtson in 2021.
