During her twenty-year career at the University of Alberta, most recently as a key administrator in the Provost’s office.
Andrea Patrick supported the search and selection processes for faculty members, Deans, and other senior academic leaders. Andrea has a keen awareness of the specific challenges within the post-secondary sector and the leadership skills and strategic vision required to successfully lead through change at all levels of the academy.
In recognition of the relationship between academic leadership and addressing social justice issues including antiracism, decolonization, and reconciliation with Indigenous peoples, Andrea employs an evidence-based approach to equity, diversity, and inclusivity throughout all stages of the recruitment process. Her experience as a selection process design expert adds an in-depth understanding of recruitment decision-making processes specific to the post-secondary context.
Andrea studied Journalism at Pace University and Human Resources Management at the University of Alberta.
