Susanne has supported boards in the UK and internationally on board evolution and on the appointment of chairs and independent non-executive directors since 2003.
Having advised FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 large corporations, ambitious start-ups, multi-generational family-businesses and private equity-based companies, across sectors and cultures, in the process, Susanne has gained particular expertise in guiding entrepreneurial and family-owned companies through sustainable board succession planning, on which she leads for Odgers Berndtson. Susanne joined Odgers Berndtson in 1997. Previously, she worked with a boutique strategy consultancy, providing businesses with advice on market dynamics across a range of industrial sectors.
She has a degree in International Economics and Modern Languages from Copenhagen Business School and an MA in International Relations from the University of Kent. Supporting our clients on developing balanced, diverse and effective boards, Susanne is an active member of our firm’s Diversity Steering Council.
